Wineries
Nothing compliments a beautiful day on a scenic river like fine wine. So what could be better than fishing some of the West’s best trout streams only to return to your beautiful accommodations in the Rocky Mountains with some of the nation's premier wines awaiting you? Having the wines poured by none other than the owners and/or winemakers themselves! Get to know these amazing wines and fantastic people behind them, the people who know them best. We will have several thousands of dollars worth of their fine wines available for you to enjoy! Wine on the Fly is extremely proud to present 2012'’s participating wineries:
Schug Carneros Estate Winery, hosted by Axel Schug
Proprietor Axel Schug is a frequent visitor to Rocky Mountain waters and crafts some of the finest wines in California.  Like the reputation of a great river, his father Walter Schug carved his name into California winemaking legend as founding winemaster of Joseph Phelps Vineyards.  Together in 1990, father and son built their own Estate in the Carneros region of Sonoma Valley, where they produce Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet and Merlot.

Visit them at www.schugwinery.com.

Lamborn Family Vineyards, hosted by Brian Lamborn
The very first "Family Vineyard" label in California, the Lamborns have been grape farming and producing elegant wines from Napa Valley's prestigious Howell Mountain for over three generations.  Located 2,200 feet above sea level, the Mountain's volcanic soil and distinct mezzo climate provides their small eight acre vineyard with uniquely ideal growing conditions.  Lamborn is producing Cabernets and Zinfandels of the highest quality and intensity, all handcrafted by "Celebrity Winemaker" Heidi Barrett.  A "family business" in every sense of the term, the Lamborn Family does all of the farming, production, and distribution themselves.

We invite you to visit Lamborn Family Vineyards.

Lange Estate, hosted by Jesse Lange
Don and Wendy Lange founded their winery in the Dundee Hills of Oregon’s northern Willamette Valley. The year 1987 marked the Langes’ first vintage and consisted of the three varietals they embrace today: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay. New-world pioneers in the production of Pinot Gris, Lange Estate was the first to release a barrel-fermented reserve -- an effort Matt Kramer of the Wine Spectator calls “a bench-mark bottling.” Don Lange’s work as a winemaker has been termed “brilliant” by Hugh Johnson, and The Wine Enthusiast proclaimed Lange Estate to be “one of the great Pinot Noir producers in the United States.”

We invite you to visit Lange Estate.
